Renovation of a library in Valparaiso, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade library.
Description of Services Needed: 1. Demolition and Removal of existing window units 2. Furnish and install commercial-grade, warrantied, thermally broken aluminum storefront framing system suitable for exterior use and compatible with fixed and operable glazing. a. Window units must be fixed and operable as directed during the walkthrough. i. Operable windows shall be of a comparable operation style to the ii. existing, and must include: 1. Operators, Locks, Screens, and Weatherstripping iii. Units must comply with egress, ventilation, and safety requirements where applicable. b. Window units must be: i. insulated glass with energy-efficient Low-E coatings meeting current commercial building and energy codes. ii. Tempered or safety glazing where required by code. iii. Optional spandrel or opaque glazing where required for design or building needs. iv. All glazing to include appropriate setting blocks, gaskets, interior/exterior sealants, and weatherproofing systems. 3. Ensure all perimeter joints, frames, and transitions are watertight and maintain building envelope integrity Offerors may desire additional information, a site visit, or clarification regarding the project.
