Renovation of a medical facility in Hartford, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

The White River Junction VA Healthcare System requires the services of a qualified General Contracting Firm to provide construction services allowing for the complete roof replacement for buildings No. 1, 31 and 88 at the White River Junction VA Medical Center, 163 Veterans Drive, White River Junction, VT. The buildings involved in this project are occupied healthcare facilities and the construction activities shall be phased in such a way to minimize impact on staff and patients. The General Contractor is to provide all necessary supervision, labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and testing required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents, including the technical specifications and drawings listed below. o 405-23-019 Roof Replacement Final Combined Drawing Set_11.17.2025 Building 1 is the original building of the Medical Center built in 1936. The work includes but is not limited to the replacement of approximately 16,000 square feet of slate shingle with synthetic shingle and approximately 900 square feet of EPDM roofing, a horizontal fall protection system, new lightning protection, and the repointing of brick chimneys. Also included is the testing for and removal of asbestos containing materials and lead based paint. Building 31 consists of four different sections of flat roofs totaling approximately 4,000 square feet of asphalt roofing which is to be replaced with an EPDM roofing system. Also included in the work is the replacement of an air handling unit and the associated infrastructure, the installation of ballasted roof guardrail, and new lightning protection. Building 88 consists of an EPDM roof topped with a green roofing systems totaling approximately 16,000 square feet which is to be replaced with a new EPDM roofing system. Also included in the work is the removal of the existing roof hydrants, a new roof hatch, and new lightning protection. Hazardous materials testing was performed after the design drawings were completed and results showed no abatement is required for building 88. Drawing 88-HA 101 of the drawing set mentioned above shall be considered void.
