Renovation of an educational facility in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed proposals are requested for construction, repair, and/or installation work for the Central Academy Exterior and Structural Repairs under Bid No. CIP3635. Bidders must submit bids on the specified form included with the plans and specifications. Proposals must include a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check, or certified credit union share draft in a separate envelope amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Lump-sum bids with unit prices and alternates will be received under one contract as described in the specifications. The award may be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting the specifications. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, waive informalities, and enter into contracts as deemed in its best interests. Work is to begin immediately after contract award and be completed within 180 calendar days after notice to proceed, with possible extensions at the Board's discretion. Preference is given to products, provisions, and labor from Iowa as per statutory requirements and Board policies. Plans and specifications are available for review and purchase, and a deposit is refundable upon return of the documents in good condition.
