Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The improvement includes adding 32-LED aesthetic tenon arm lights on the exterior sides of the arch bridge, upgrading the overhead deck lighting to dimmable lighting, adding LED lighting to the existing shade structure, all necessary conduit, wiring, and new control cabinets, traffic control, and mobilization, all in accordance with the contract documents including Plan File No. 679-044/053, located on the SW 1st Street Bridge over the Raccoon River, Des Moines, Iowa. Sealed bids must be filed at or before 11:00 a.m. on the date specified, at the office of the City Clerk. Each bidder must accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the jurisdiction. Work shall be commenced upon approval of the contract by the Council and completed as stated. Preference will be given to Iowa products and labor to the extent lawfully required, and sales tax should not be included in the bid, as a sales tax exemption certificate will be available for all material purchased for incorporation in the project.
