Description

Site work and addition to an educational facility in Ripley, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Bids are requested for the construction of a restroom addition located at Ripley High School Baseball Field. Work must start by March 1, 2026, and be completed by March 27, 2026. Contractors not previously employed by Jackson County Schools to perform such services must provide a detailed written description of their qualifications to complete this installation and two references of similar work provided for other clients. Bids should be submitted to Tim Brown, Assistant Superintendent. Envelopes should be marked “Baseball Restrooms.” A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through will be held at the Jackson County Board office at 11:00 am on January 29, 2026, where contractors will receive a copy of the Scope of Work and visit the construction sites. Within ten days of the contract award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish written verification of Workers Compensation Coverage, liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000, and a general contractor’s license for the State of West Virginia. The Jackson County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process.
