The Southern Jackson County PSD is requesting bids for the construction of the Statts Mills Road Water Extension. The work includes furnishing and installation of approximately 10,700 linear feet of 6-inch waterline, 4,200 linear feet of 2-inch waterline, a hydropneumatic booster station, and miscellaneous appurtenances. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations for federal-aid construction projects, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and the Davis-Bacon Act, among others. Bidders must also comply with requirements for Affirmative Action and Minority Business Enterprises participation. The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act, requiring that all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used must be produced in the United States, except as waived for specified de minimis, small grants, and minor components. All contractors must have a proper, current, valid West Virginia General Engineering license and include their contractor's license number on their bid. Bidders must submit a complete, responsive bid including bid bond or surety, and acknowledge all addenda. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety days after bidding. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder.
