As of March 20, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Work consists of renovation of an existing approximately 4800 square foot building. The work includes new walls, subfloor repairs, new doors, new windows, new finishes, and new HVAC. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total base bid. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder as reasonably determined by the Board, considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, quality, and serviceability. The Board will consider the experience of the bidder on similar projects, the bidder's performance history, and their service capabilities. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, irregularities, technicalities, or defects in any bid. Contractors must conform to all Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, pay prevailing wages, and submit certified payroll records. Bidders must comply with applicable Illinois statutes regarding preference for Illinois citizens on public works projects, have a written sexual harassment policy, and have a written substance abuse prevention program. Work can begin upon notice of award and must be substantially complete within 180 calendar days.
