Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in South Holland, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The work includes selective demolition of existing animal food preparation kitchen millwork and associated fixtures; installation of custom stainless steel kitchen system, associated fixtures, and epoxy flooring; installation of connections and exhaust for washer/dryer; replacement and repair of select entry canopy components, masonry restoration, and replacement of existing entry doors to accommodate automatic push plate entry for accessibility and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications. Proposals must be submitted electronically. Bidders are required to meet 24% Minority-owned Business Enterprise (MBE) and 10% Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) participation goals. Security bid deposit and Surety Statement of Qualification for Bonding are required. A pre-bid field inspection and attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference are required. Submission of a Certificate of Intent to Comply with the Cook County Resident Employment Requirement is mandatory for all construction projects exceeding $100,000. All contractors and subcontractors performing trade work must participate in or contribute to active apprenticeship and training programs approved by the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, and submit evidence of such participation. Any subcontractors, including second tier, must submit a Responsible Bidder Affidavit and supporting documents. The work must be substantially completed within 180 calendar days from the issuance of Notice To Proceed. All questions must be received via email by February 18, 2026 by 5:00 pm and be directed to Office of the Purchasing Agent, fpd.purchasing@cookcountyil.gov All questions regarding the figures, plans and specifications, and the interpretation thereof and resolutions of conflicts and inconsistencies therein, shall be determined by the Engineer. Deviations from the drawings and dimensions therein given, whether or not error is believed to exist, shall be made only after authority in writing is obtained from the Engineer. Answers will be issued no later than February 25, 2026.
