Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Merced, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; playground / park / athletic field; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Contractor will furnish all labor, supervision, services, traffic controls, appurtenances, and materials, tools and any other ancillary items required for each item and shall be complete and permanently in place at the Los Banos Creek Campground at San Luis Reservoir SRA and at the Great Valley Grasslands SP. At the Los Banos Creek Campground, contractors shall remove old asphalt, compact road base with new road base as needed, and repave with a minimum of 3-inch asphalt on the campground loop road from the Y intersection to the bottom of the hill at the campground and back to the Y. This includes, but is not limited to, asphalt milling, leveling, compacting aggregate subgrades, repaving, curb installation, and repainting (3) Stop Bars. At the Great Valley Grasslands SP, contractors shall rehabilitate an asphalt parking lot, including cleaning road edges, preparing the asphalt surface on the entire road and parking areas, fixing crack seals, applying slurry-II Seal, and re-striping of existing parking areas. Work will be performed at both San Luis Reservoir SRA and Great Valley Grasslands SP in Merced County, California, in accordance with the plans and specifications and any addenda issued prior to bid opening. Job showing is mandatory. Prospective bidders must download the bid package and are responsible for reviewing addenda. Questions or discrepancies must be emailed to the State by the designated deadline. Participation in the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Program is required with a minimum goal of 6%. A 5% small business preference will be granted to certified small businesses. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
