Sealed bids are requested for mowing and trimming approximately 20 acres behind the Jackson County Schools Transportation Office on South Church Street in Ripley, WV. The bid should state the amount the bidder is willing to pay for harvesting hay from the field during the 2026 growing season. The harvested hay will become the property of the successful bidder. The field must be mowed and hay removed at least once during the growing season, with a required second cutting if substantial regrowth occurs. If not, the field should be brush hogged by October 1, 2026. The successful bidder must cut as close to the creek and around the small garage located on the property. All equipment and hay must be removed by November 1, 2026. The Jackson County Board of Education is not responsible for equipment damage or injury. Sealed bids will be accepted until the specified deadline, and the Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
