Scope of work is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment for TU-7 Design Upgrades Phase 3. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: General construction: Coordinate logistics and provide safety barriers. Plumbing: Disconnect the existing natural gas from the Hutchings service and replace it with a new gas service from National Grid. Electrical: National Grid to install new pole and overhead line from NM pole #117 and MV cables to new transformer pad provided along with MV service conduits to new riser pole by EC. National Grid to provide new pad mount service transformer with secondary meter on site as indicated on site plan and EC to provide new 1600A fused switch and feeder cable/conduit to existing 1600A 208V 3-phase switchboard. Provide permanent lockout tagout and warning signs for existing MV switches connecting cables from the Hutchings distribution system to existing service switchboard. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 180 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals: 20% MBE and 10% WBE participation of the total contract value. There is also a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
