Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in El Dorado, Kansas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
The purpose of this project is to replace Br. 56.727 (Prairie Creek) on I-35 in Butler County. Work includes bridge rehabilitation, grading and surfacing, and all other work shown in the plans. Bidders are instructed to furnish all labor and materials and perform all work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications and other Contract Documents. Bids must be submitted digitally on Bid Express, with all bid prices filled in, and the bid form fully completed and executed. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid, made payable to the Kansas Turnpike Authority, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and give a performance bond if awarded the contract. The award of the contract will be based on the summation of the products of the unit prices and the approximate quantities, and will follow the Standard Specifications of the Kansas Department of Transportation, edition of 2015. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity therein, to determine which is the lowest responsible bid most suitable to the Authority. Pre-qualification requirements: Bids will only be accepted by Contractors that are pre-qualified by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
