The Washburn County Highway Department requests bid proposals to supply pricing for tack coat material and trucking for the 2026 Construction Season. Tack Coat Material is to be picked up by the Washburn County Highway Department at the supplier’s location, and must be one of the types listed in the 2026 WisDOT Standard Spec 455.2.5(1). Trucking rates are requested for a Quad-Axle truck and driver to haul Hot Mix as needed from the HMA Plant that is furnishing Hot Mix to Washburn County in 2026 to the Washburn County paver on a project in Washburn County. Bid proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked 'MISCELLANEOUS PAVING ITEMS BID PROPOSAL 07-26M.' Only the provided form will be accepted and it must be filled out completely. Proposals are to be received by the Washburn County Highway Department by the specified due date. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities, and to select the bid deemed most advantageous to the Washburn County Highway Department. All inquiries and requests for interpretation must be made in writing. Washburn County may investigate as necessary to determine the ability of the proposer to supply the product or service, and proposers are expected to notify the Highway Commissioner in writing of any inconsistencies, problems, or ambiguities in the specifications.
