Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot in Kent, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project includes installation of two pedestrian hybrid beacons (PHBs) and associated improvements at two locations: 108th Ave SE (SR 515) at the Panther Lake Library and SR 99 (Pacific Highway S) between the 24800 and 25200 blocks. Improvements include PHBs, new street lights, all associated electrical work, new curb ramps, modifications to existing or new median islands, channelization, and signage. Bids must be clearly marked Bid with the name of the project on the outside of the Bid Note: Bids must be clearly marked 'Bid' with the name of the project on the outside of the envelope, addressed to the City Clerk, 220 4th Avenue South, Kent, WA 98032-5895. Only sealed bids will be accepted. No facsimiles or electronic submittals will be considered. Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents on file in the office of the City Engineer. Plans and specifications can also be downloaded at no charge at the specified city website. Apprentice Utilization Requirements are mandatory for all public works estimated to cost one million dollars or more, in which case no less than 15% of the labor hours must be performed by apprentices. A cashier's check, cash, or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included with the bid. Bidders must submit with their initial bid a signed statement as to whether they have previously performed work subject to the President's Executive Order No. 11246. The City of Kent will ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the day of bid opening. The Engineer's estimated range for this project is approximately $1,200,000 to $1,600,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
