The cut-off date and time for all project questions submitted to the City of Seldovia is May 08, 2026 at 1:30 PM ADT The City of Seldovia is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the removal and replacement of the existing dock in Jakolof Bay, Alaska. Replacement of the dock includes the design and construction of a new floating timber dock facility and related improvements, which includes the design of specific elements noted in the Contract Documents. The new facility will be constructed at the existing site. The scope of work, as defined in the plans and specifications, includes the following: o Remove and dispose of the exiting timber floats, timber piles, miscellaneous hardware, the timber access ramp, and the concrete landing pad. o Design, furnish, and install new steel pipe piles for the new floating dock (guide piles). o Design, furnish, and install a new timber complete float system. o Design, furnish, and install a new concrete landing pad and timber ramp. o Design, furnish, and install a new cathodic protection system. o Design, furnish, and install features, appurtenances, and other miscellaneous items as required by the Contract Documents. o Furnish all labor to provide professional services as required to complete the work, including survey, design, and marine mammal observations and reporting. Specific details, geometry, and performance criteria for the float system are described in this Request for Proposal (RFP). It is necessary that the Contractor's team be highly experienced in the design, manufacturing, handling, and installation of timber marina float systems anchored by steel guide pile systems, and the construction of related harbor infrastructure described in the contract documents.
