The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for the installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer main. It also involves installing and replacing 8-inch, 12-inch, and 24-inch storm sewer pipes, and connecting existing sanitary sewer laterals to the new sanitary sewer main. Proposals must be accompanied by proposal security equal to ten percent (10%) of the total proposal amount. All proposals will be irrevocable for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of bid opening, except as otherwise provided in the instructions. The project must be substantially completed within sixty (60) calendar days and finally completed within seventy-five (75) calendar days from the notice to proceed. A performance, payment, and maintenance bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount is required. A Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Form is required. The project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and prevailing minimum rates must be paid by contractors. Contract documents are available from the office of the Engineer for a non-refundable deposit of seventy-five dollars, which includes plans and specifications. The Borough of Shillington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or portions thereof and to delete portions of the project based on budget constraints. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents.Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
