Site work for a transportation facility in Valparaiso, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The work includes improvements at Porter County Municipal Airport involving several components: Base Bid: Paving and pavement markings for Taxiways C (Extension #1), T, U, and V. Additive Bid #1: Utilities installation to extend sewer and water. Additive Bid #2: Utilities installation to extend power and gas. Additive Bid #3: West End rehabilitation using INDOT micro-surfacing. Alternate Bid #1: Paving and pavement markings for Taxiway C6. Alternate Bid #2: Paving and pavement markings for Taxiway C (Extension #2). Alternate Bid #3A: West End rehabilitation using FAA micro-surfacing. Alternate Bid #3B: West End rehabilitation using FAA chip & seal. Alternate Bid #4: West End rehabilitation, parking lot with INDOT micro-surfacing. Alternate Bid #5: West End rehabilitation, parking lot with INDOT chip & seal. Major bid items for the Base Bid include: crushed aggregate base course, asphalt surface course, asphalt base course, runway and taxiway marking (yellow), various electrical cables, medium intensity elevated taxiway edge lights, and perforated underdrain with porous backfill. Bidders must examine the site prior to bidding and provide all required information in the contract documents. It is required to bid on all items of every schedule or as detailed in the instructions. Bids may be held for up to 90 calendar days for evaluation. No bidder may withdraw after opening. The sponsor reserves the right to waive informalities in bidding or reject any or all bids. Each bid requires a certified check or bid bond of 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish separate performance and payment bonds each for 100% of the contract price. Compliance with FAA Buy American Preference and other federal requirements is mandatory. Title VI, trade restriction certifications, federal minimum wage, procurement of recovered materials, and DBE participation provisions apply as federal requirements. There is a prohibition on covered unmanned aircraft systems for the project.
