Description

Site work for a civil project in Shelby, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway and water / sewer project.

The proposed work consists of the installation of approximately 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water line to replace the existing 6-inch cast iron water line. The work is to occur along South Lafayette Street (NC State Route 18), from the intersection of Ramblewood Drive and Morton Street to the intersection of Broad Street and South Morgan Street. The installation of the 8-inch water main alignment also involves connecting to several smaller water mains and serves along the length of construction. The project work also includes removal of eight existing sanitary sewer manholes, installation of new manholes, and sanitary service line connections.
