Bids are invited for the Newport Township/Glen Lyon - 2026 Park Street Storm Drainage Improvement Project. The work includes approximately 140 linear feet of 24-inch HPDE, 4 storm inlets, 70 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 130 linear feet of concrete curb, pavement restoration, and miscellaneous work. Bid security in the amount of ten percent of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required from the successful bidder. Only plan holders on file at the office of the engineer will be considered responsible bidders. Prospective bidders are urged to familiarize themselves with the site and review the scope of work and construction documents. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act apply if the estimated project cost exceeds $25,000. Newport Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for up to sixty days from the date of opening for review prior to awarding the contract. No bidder may withdraw their bid during this time. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to the Owner. Any inquiry received seven or more days prior to the date fixed for opening bids will be given consideration.
