This project will consist of roadway overlay on Washington Avenue. Work is to include asphalt milling, placement of 9.5 mm asphalt scratch coat, and placement of 9.5 mm asphalt wearing course. Items for sweeping and preparation, and joint sealing around curbs, manholes, inlets, and valve boxes will be incidental to the project. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of East Greenville. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project.
