This project includes the following work on the 50,000-gallon STH 47 Tower (built in 1962 by CB&I) and the 57,000-gallon Indian Village Road Standpipe (built by Columbian TecTank in 1993). The logo on the tower is affected by Alternate bidding. The date of last reconditioning for the tower was 2014. The work done by St. Germain Sandblasting was a full interior wet replacement, spot repair of the interior dry area, and overcoat on the exterior. Current work includes: 1. Cleaning, sandblasting, and painting all interior and exterior surfaces of the STH 47 Tower. Full containment is mandatory. 2. Both the interior and exterior coatings of STH 47 Tower are classified as lead-based paint. 3. Spot repairing the interior wet surfaces and sandblasting and painting the exterior access ladders and platforms on the Indian Village Road Standpipe. 4. Miscellaneous structure modifications and surface repairs. 5. The entire project out-of-service duration has start date of May 1, 2025 and substantial completion by October 15, 2025 so long as the out-of-service duration for the STH 47 Tower does not exceed a total of 33 calendar days, and the out-of-service duration for the Indian Village Road Standpipe does not exceed a total of 17 calendar days. Once a tower has been taken out of service, the Contractor must work continuously during the respective maximum day duration until it is back in service. 6. Structure modifications that do not impact tower or standpipe operation may begin before the start date and will not count toward the out-of-service duration. 7. Under no circumstances will the Owner permit both tanks to be offline at the same time. STH 47 Tower shall be completed first and returned to operation before any work commences on the Indian Village Road Standpipe. STH 47 Tower: The approximate dimensions are as follows; tank diameter of 24-feet, high-water level 100-feet, low-water level of 78-feet, and overall height of 105-feet. Indian Village Road Standpipe: The approximate dimensions are as follows; tank diameter of 12-feet, high-water level 59-feet, low-water level at grade, and overall height of 65-feet.
