DBB B300 Waterfront Machine Shop Roof & HVAC Repair, Portsmouth Navy Shipyard Kittery, Maine Building 300's roof has exceeded its service life, resulting in significant water infiltration into the facility. The project removes the deteriorated roofing system and installs a new fully adhered 0.080 TPO roof membrane assembly. Work includes removal of all existing air-handling units and removal or abandonment-in-place of associated ductwork containing RCRA 8 metal dust and asbestos materials, with required containment and abatement measures. The scope provides replacement of the existing steam-to-hot-water plant, installation of unit heaters for industrial work areas, and dedicated outdoor air systems with destratification fans to improve ventilation and occupant comfort. The project replaces the fire alarm and mass notification system and the fire sprinkler system serving the industrial areas. Electrical work includes removal and replacement of the existing 2500 kVA main service transformer for Switchgear 4, replacement of the 15 kV service switch, and replacement of the 480V main and feeder switchgear. Site improvements address utility construction and restoration of areas disturbed during demolition, including electrical and fire safety utilities. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
