This Project is Partially Funded by Local Road Improvement Program (Lrip). The Base Bid Work for the Above Contract Includes Providing the Full Depth Pulverize, Grading, Relay, and New Asphalt Paving of Buena Park Road Over 1.6 Miles of Roadway. The Project Includes the Addition of 6300 Lf of New Sidewalk, Road Widening for Onstreet Bike Lanes, and Replacing Driveway Aprons and Culverts. The Project Also Includes Clearing and Grubbing, Erosion Control, Restoration, and Concrete Curb Work. General Quantities of Major Items in Which Bids Will Be Requested Are 23,500 Sy of Pulverizing, 9000 Tons of Asphalt Pavement, 31,000 Sf of Concrete Sidewalk, 8500 Cy of Common Excavation, and 32,000 Lf of Pavement Marking. Bidders Should Pay Attention to the Requirements for Bid Signatures, as Set Forth in Bid Security. Bidders May Not Withdraw Their Bids Within the 90-day Period After the Date of the Bid Opening the Town Will Only Consider Bids From Bidders Who Accompany Them With a Bid Bond, Payable to the Town of Waterford, in the Amount Equal to 5 Percent of the Bid. This Requirement Serves to Guarantee That, if the Town Accepts the Bid, the Selected Contractor Will Execute and Deliver the Proper Contract Agreement and Bonds Within 15 Calendar Days After the Notice of Award. Failure to Return These Documents Within This Prescribed Time Will Result in Forfeiture, to the Town of Waterford, of the Selected Bid Bond, as Liquidated Damages. Scope of Work: The work shall consist of furnishing materials, labor, equipment, and supervision for the construction of a precast modular block (PMB) retaining wall structure in accordance with the requirements of this section and in acceptable conformity with the lines, grades, design, and dimensions shown in the project site plans. 1. Excavation and foundation soil preparation. 3. Furnishing and placement of the leveling base. 4. Furnishing and placement of the drainage system. 5. Furnishing and placement of geotextiles. 6. Furnishing and placement of retaining wall blocks. 7. Furnishing and placement of geosynthetic reinforcement. 8. Furnishing and compaction of infill, drainage and retained soils. The installing contractor shall check all materials delivered to the site to ensure that the correct materials have been received and are in good condition The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Waive or Not Waive Any Informality in the Bids Received and to Accept Any Proposal, Which They Deem Most Favorable to the Interests of the Owner.
