Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clive, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor necessary to construct a traffic signal, reconstruct pedestrian ramps, reconstruction curb radii in the northeast and southwest corners, and provide associated pavement marking at the intersection of Douglas Parkway and Berkshire Parkway. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. Work on the improvements shall commence on or before the date specified in a written Notice to Proceed. The anticipated date for written Notice to Proceed is May 1 st , 2025. Work on the project shall be substantially complete per the following schedule The traffic signal shall be operational with all lanes open to traffic by August 24th, 2025. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said completion provisions will be assessed after August 24th , 2025 at the rate of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten (10) percent of the total bid amount. The City of Clive reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
