Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk construction, as well as milling and asphalt pavement construction, including the approximate quantities: 24-inch Concrete Curb & Gutter (500 lineal feet), Concrete Sidewalk (2,300 square feet), Milling (12,250 square yards), and Hot-Mix Asphalt Pavement (1,780 tons). The quantities are subject to change without notice prior to document distribution. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. 7.03 Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the City of Rhinelander within the last year or must be pre-qualified for this work 5 days prior to the bid deadline in accordance with Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bidders must be experienced in municipal street construction. The City of Rhinelander reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid.
