The Oneida County Buildings & Grounds Department is accepting bids for the replacement of the cooling tower at the Law Enforcement Center and the installation of a new chilled water cooling coil in the air handling unit (AHU). Sealed bids must be submitted to the Oneida County Clerk at the Oneida County Courthouse, PO Box 400, Rhinelander, WI 54501. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the County. General Description The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete a combined mechanical upgrade project involving the replacement of the buildings cooling tower and the installation of a new chilled water cooling coil in AHU5. All work shall comply with applicable codes, industry standards, and manufacturer recommendations. Scope of Work 1. Removal and Demolition Remove and properly dispose of the existing cooling tower. Remove and dispose of unused or abandoned condenser water piping on the roof. Prepare rooftop and mechanical areas for installation of new equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work site throughout the project and protect all existing property. Coordinate all work and any required system shutdowns with County staff at least 72 hours in advance. 2. Cooling Tower Replacement Provide and install a new cooling tower of appropriate capacity to serve the existing system. Include all required components for proper operation, such as water level controls, basin/sump heating as needed, fan and motor equipment, and any protective or operational accessories. Install and connect all associated piping, valves, supports, and accessories necessary for a complete, functional system.
