Site work and paving for a road / highway in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and incidentals needed to repair the Chequamegon-Nicolet Supervisor's Office parking lot. This Request For Quotations (RFQ) includes evaluation factors in addition to price. Refer to L.2 Quote Preparation Instructions for the full list of what to submit with your quote. Location: Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Supervisor's Office, 500 Hanson Lake Road, Rhinelander, WI 54501. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Site Visit (Construction) for information on arranging to inspect the work site prior to submitting your quote. Technical questions should be sent to both paul.boucher@usda.gov and justin.blake@usda.gov. Required Pavement Restoration Processes and Sequence: 1. Contractor to measure and record all existing layouts, colors, markings and locations of each parking area painted lines and patterns so that they may be restored after restoration processes. 2. Contractor to repair denoted distressed areas of asphalt concrete pavement by removing and patching the pavement and underlying material as required. 3. Contractor to perform Crack Sealing by clearing all parking area cracks of debris and blowing out cracks and surfaces with air hoses and fill all cracks with asphalt sealant suitable for type of existing asphalt and location climate. Appropriate time shall be given for sealant to cure prior to next processes. 4. Contractor to perform Double Chip Seal Process to fill in low areas of existing parking area and to seal complete surface of existing parking area using asphalt restoration materials, equipment and process that meet industry standards and FP-14 Specifications. All parking area surfaces to be clear of dust and debris prior to double chip seal process. Appropriate time shall be given for sealant to cure prior to next process. 5. Contractor to perform Fog seal process to further seal the double chip seal, that meet industry standards and FP-14 Specifications. 6. Contractor to clear parking area surface of dust and debris. Contractor to perform line and pattern painting to restore all parking area lines, patterns and colors to pre-existing locations prior to pavement restoration process. Painted areas should be ribboned off or protected in an effective manner after painting to protect new paint markings from foot or vehicle traffic or weather that would damage the paint markings until they are all fully dried. Note: It is expected by the CNNF that these processes will all be completed and in this order at all sites for which the contract is awarded during the performance period of August 25, 2025 to October 3, 2025. Construction may be delayed until spring of 2026 pending time of award. It is understood by CNNF that the sequential process may not be performed within successive days or weeks and may be scheduled at the contractor's discretion if all work is performed and completed in order and within the performance period during working hours of the CNNF staff from Monday to Friday. It is also expected by the CNNF that it be notified at least seven business days prior to any work being conducted so that it can make suitable arrangements for its staff to park vehicles elsewhere during pavement area restoration processes. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
