This Project was financed [in part] by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority. The work to be performed under this contract generally consists of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the installation of approximately 12,000 linear feet of 8" water main including but not limited to replacement of existing water services to curb stops/boxes, installation of water meter pits, testing and disinfection of the new water main, abandonment-in-place of the existing water main between connection points, traffic controls, erosion and sediment controls, and associated pavement and landscape restoration as shown on the construction drawings and as specified in the Project Manual. In certain instances, the work may entail replacement of water services from building to meter pit/curb stop based on service material (i.e., if existing service material determined to be lead or galvanized requiring replacement), at The Upper Hanover Authority's direction. All work shall be completed in strict accordance with the construction drawings and Project Manual and is contained under one unit price contract.
