Sealed bids are invited for the PT Biz Buried Fiber Construction Project, which involves work extending from Eisenhower Ave. by Fort Worden Historical Park, south along San Juan Ave., through the Port Townsend business district along the coast, then south and west along West Sims Way to Otto Street, and south along Otto Street to Seton Rd. The general scope of work is as shown in the provided drawings and specifications. A preliminary project plan and schedule, as well as a resume of the project manager and/or supervisor, must be submitted with the bid along with the required exhibit forms. Bids may only be mailed or hand-delivered to the specified address. Bids must be submitted using the provided Proposal form and Bid Table Spreadsheet (Exhibit E) in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Proposals must be filled out in ink or typewritten. No alterations or interlineations will be permitted unless made before submission, initialed, and dated. The winning bidder must submit an electronic copy of the Proposal Table upon request. A certified or bank cashier's check for 5 percent (5%) of the bid amount, or a bid bond executed by a licensed bonding company, is required with each bid. The project is funded or partially funded through the Washington State Public Works Board program with state funds. All work will be subject to State of Washington prevailing wages. General contractors and all subcontractors must be licensed to conduct business in Washington State. Bid security, payment bond, performance bond, and retainage are required. There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting to attend.
