Renovation of a municipal facility in Port Townsend, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 28,500-square-foot municipal facility.

The work required includes replacement of the existing original roofing for the Point Hudson Historic Quarantine Facility Buildings (North and East side of the Point Hudson Marina harbor: Medical Officer-in-Charge Quarters, De Duplex Building, Cupola Building (Including Annex), Hospital Building, Main Building, Nurse's Quarters, and Marina Office). This involves: - Removal and disposal of approximately 28,500 square feet of existing Transite (Asbestos) Tile Shingles - Removal and disposal of approximately 4,350 square feet of existing asphalt composition roofing and building paper and 2,000 square feet of existing standing seam metal roofing - Installation of approximately 17,050 square feet of 15/32" CDX plywood sheathing - Installation of approximately 16,300 square feet of self-adhering high-temperature weatherproof membrane - Installation of new flashing at valleys, ridges, hips, chimneys, and other penetrations compatible with the new roof system - Installation of approximately 36,300 square feet of new standing seam metal roof - Application of preservative coating system for approximately 5,060 square feet of existing copper roof features - Traffic control and overhead protection of pedestrian walkways and building entrances during construction Hand deliver bids sealed and marked as required to the Port Administration Office. Prospective bidders are invited to attend non-mandatory pre-bid conferences/site visits as stipulated. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty of five percent of the bid amount. Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. The Port reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities, and accept any bid if deemed in the best interest of the Port. Please refer to Section 02 21 13. Instructions to Bidders for details on bid submittal, modification, evaluation, and validity duration. The Engineer's Estimate for the Point Hudson Roof Replacement and Asbestos Abatement project is $1.850 M - $2.150 M. Question Deadline 02/20/2026 Requests for interpretation or reports of ambiguities shall be made in writing and delivered to the Contracting Agency at least seven calendar days before the Bid submittal deadline. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
