Renovation of an educational facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the J.S. Clark HVAC project, Project No. 2027-754. Bidding documents are available from EMA Engineering & Consulting, Inc. upon a $100 refundable deposit for prime bidders who submit a bid and return documents in good condition within ten days after bid receipt. Only Louisiana licensed contractors with a major classification as a Mechanical Contractor may bid. A bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid is required, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check, attached to the bid in the prescribed manner. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount from a company licensed in Louisiana. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day will be assessed for work not completed beyond the established completion date. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days after the opening date. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and encourages a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference by an officer, estimator, or knowledgeable individual is a pre-condition for bid eligibility; late arrivals will not be allowed to submit a prime bid.
