The project consists of the Connelly Boulevard (SR 0062) Green Light-Go Traffic Signal Upgrade at four locations: Connelly Boulevard and Stambaugh Street (SR 0518), Connelly Boulevard and South Myers Avenue, Connelly Boulevard and Service Avenue, and Connelly Boulevard and Smith Avenue/Pine Hollow Blvd. Bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis. Bidders are required to be pre-qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and must submit proof of pre-qualification with their bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Sharon, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid. Bidders must comply with all state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring or employment opportunities. Pennsylvania prevailing minimum wage rates apply. The City of Sharon reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. The work involved under this contract shall consist of the following: Modifications to the existing traffic signals at the following four (4) intersections to include the items of work as per the enclosed Plans (Contract Drawings): o Connelly Boulevard (SR 0062) and Stambaugh Street (SR 0518) o Connelly Boulevard (SR 0062) and South Myers Avenue o Connelly Boulevard (SR 0062) and Service Avenue o Connelly Boulevard (SR 0062) and Smith Avenue/Pine Hollow Blvd It is intended that the work described in this Contract be complete in every detail, including furnishing, constructing, installing, removing and testing all equipment, materials and products necessary for the aforementioned scope of work. All work is to be performed within Public Right of Way. Any work performed outside of Public Right of way will be the CONTRACTOR's responsibility to coordinate with private property owners.
