The work consists of providing annual inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement services for all existing backflow prevention devices at the White River Junction VA Medical Center campus. Services must be performed in accordance with NFPA 25, IPC 2015, and the State of Vermont Cross-Connection Regulations by a certified backflow device technician or installer. Tasks include confirming device identification and location, inspecting each device, documenting results electronically, and performing repairs or replacements as needed under established contingency amounts. Work will occur in occupied healthcare facilities and must be coordinated closely with VA personnel, with adherence to infection control measures when required. The contractor is responsible for verifying conditions and device locations, preparing any required regulatory notifications, protecting government property, coordinating schedules with the COR, and complying with all privacy, security, and records-management requirements. The period of performance includes a base year with four option years, with all inspections completed within four months of contract award.
