Description

Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Dubuque, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

Sealed proposals are invited for the construction of a 150' x 30' continuous concrete slab (C.C.S.) bridge with a 45-degree left ahead skew on Oakland Farms Rd, approximately 0.65 miles east of Whitetop Rd, over Catfish Creek in Section 9 of Table Mound Township. Proposals must be filed on designated forms, sealed, and clearly marked. A certified or cashier's check, or bid bond, is required with each proposal. The contract awardee must file a performance bond equal to 100 percent of the contract sum and provide proof of insurance within 15 days of contract approval. Proposals with unauthorized reservations may be rejected, and the County Board reserves the right to waive technicalities or reject any or all proposals. Preferences will be given to locally owned businesses and products grown or coal produced within Iowa, and resident bidders may receive preference over nonresidents in certain cases. Minority, Women, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate, and all vendors employing personnel with Commercial Drivers Licenses must comply with applicable regulations. Sales tax exemption certificates will be issued for qualifying project materials.
