The estimated cost for this project is $95,000. Scope:- Southwest Greensburg Borough will utilize electronic bidding to receive sealed bids for their Alley Reconstruction project. The project includes milling and overlay of asphalt wearing course, selective milling and placement of asphalt binder course, and selective full-depth replacement of subbase and asphalt base course. Base Bid - The Base Bid includes the pavement recons truction of two alleys within Southwest Greensburg Borough, consisting of mill and overlay of wearing courses and the partial- to full-depth replacement of pavemen t where directed. The Base Bid scope of work includes the following items and conditions: 1. Mobilization. 2. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic. The Contractor will need to close these alleys to traffic to execute its work. Residents will need to be notified at least 48 hours prior to any construction activity an d alley closure. Sample notices to residents will be provided to the Contract or upon award. 3. Temporary Erosion & Sediment Control Measures, including inlet protection filter bags and concrete washout. 4. Demolition and disposal of the existing pavement and subbase. 5. Installation of new geotextile, subbase, base course , binder course, and wearing course, including application of bituminous tack coat, per the paving details on the project plans. 6. Removal, disposal, and replacement of any subgrade material deemed unsuitable, if and where directed by the Engineer. 7. Seal all pavement joints throughout the project site. 8. Provide driveway apron adjustments and keyway milling throughout the project. 9. Provide inlet and utility adjustments to meet the pr oposed pavement grades. 10. Replacement of all traffic and pavement markings in- kind. 11. The Owner reserves the right to decide if any paveme nt or other materials removed from the project site shall remain on the pr operty of owner and shall be deposited as directed by the Engineer or if they shall be properly removed from the site by the Contractor. 12. The Contractor will need to coordinate with the township or private property owners for staging and laydown area.
