Site work for an industrial development in Spooner, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a industrial development.
The Washburn County Highway Department requests bid proposals for the supply of approximately 35,000 tons of screened sand and 5,000 tons of rock/reject material to be stockpiled at the Cranberry Pit. Screened sand is required for snow and ice control and must adhere to specified gradation limits. Screening operations are restricted to Monday through Friday, 6 am to 7 pm. The contractor must provide proof of liability and workman's compensation insurance, with Washburn County listed as an additional insured. The contractor will be paid based on all tonnage passing through the screener and must provide separate quantities for sand and reject material upon completion. Gradation sampling must be performed and reported to the County for every 5,000 tons. The contractor may use belt scale production records or alternate measurement methods, such as drone surveys, if indicated and approved. Sand may be stockpiled on top of existing piles, and a minimum of 5,000 tons must be screened before 10-1-2026. Bidders are encouraged to review the site prior to bidding. Bid proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, using the supplied form marked "CRANBERRY PIT SCREENING BID PROPOSAL #10-26M." No verbal interpretations will be provided; all inquiries should be in writing. Bidders are encouraged to notify the Highway Commissioner in writing of any inconsistencies or ambiguities in the specifications. Washburn County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to select the most advantageous bid.
