Remove and replace two damaged fan coil units in Buildings B-1 (room 1171) and B-2 (room 3126B) at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven, providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidentals. Coordinate with VA Electrical, HVAC, and Utilities personnel; manage required system shutdowns; protect existing equipment; and perform asbestos abatement as needed, including glove bag removal and reinsulating where applicable. Work includes providing new valves for isolation, electrical disconnection and reconnection, providing grounding wire, and ensuring that installation matches or exceeds the capabilities of existing units in adjacent rooms. Submit all required project schedules, work procedures, certifications, and safety documentation for approval prior to starting work. Abatement of asbestos-containing materials and the use of an independent industrial hygienist for air sampling and clearance are required. All work must comply with VA Connecticut Healthcare System policies and relevant codes and regulations. Bidders must have a field service representative located within 100 miles, possess required certifications (including OSHA), and show relevant experience and qualifications in similar projects.
