The City of Cheney is accepting Proposals with Statements of Qualification (SOQ) from qualified contractors interested in providing on-call concrete repair services to the City of Cheney. The City has a need for on-call concrete repair services. The intent of this proposal is to identify qualified firms to perform the work. Examples of the types of concrete repair services to be provided include, but are not limited to, area preparation including gravel base preparation, saw cutting, pouring and forming of various sidewalks, curb ramps, pathways, driveways, valley gutters, curb and gutter, and removal/hauling of debris at various locations throughout the City. The firm(s) selected to provide concrete repair services will do so on an as-needed basis contracted with the City of Cheney. SOQ's shall include: 1) a cover letter addressed to Todd Ableman, Public Works Director, including, at minimum, identification of contractor, including name, address, email address, telephone number, and Washington State UBI number, (limited to 2 page); 2) an outline of the contractor's suggested approach to performing concrete repair services, demonstrating the contractor's understanding of the requested services and their ability to fulfill the described services 3) a listing of the firm's experience in performing concrete repair services (limited to 5 pages) Evaluation of the SOQ's and selection of the qualified concrete contractor(s) will be done based upon the following criteria: 1) Qualifications of the contractor; 2) Past experience; 3) Demonstrated understanding of the scope of work and all major issues; 4) Ability to meet schedule; 5) Approach to projects; 6) References. The City reserves the right to select more than one contractor to perform the services solicited herein based upon the qualifications of the individual applicant. The City also retains the right to reject all proposals. Execution of a contract with any contractor for any City concrete services solicited herein shall be contingent upon obligation of city funding.
